Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on Twitter, was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010. Theo is also a mentor and investor to many other businesses and a respected former Dragon on BBC Dragons Den.
Mum to two children Kate Naylor is off to meet Theo Paphitis at his exclusive invitation only party for Small Business Sunday winners. Kate who lives in Sale, Cheshire started her first aid business for parents of babies & children back in 2009. Now four other mums who now have their own franchises are delivering these specialised courses around the North West and also Notting Hill London.
The first Kate knew of her win was when she had lots of Tweets on Twitter congratulating her. “I was totally surprised, shocked and delighted at having recognition from Theo Paphitis” said Kate. “Twitters not for everyone, but it can be highly addictive” Kate adds.
Bumps & Bashes won their #SBS status on 9th December 2012 just 9 days after two ladies had finished their franchise training and this is the first time to be invited the Theo’s big do. What timing! On Twitter under the obvious name of @bumpsandbashes you can also see other winners under #sbsevent2013 who will be traveling to Birmingham on the 28th November for the celebrations.
